Egle Pappalardo, born in Catania, is a documentary director and filmmaker.

 

After studying theater for years, in 2011 she approached the world of video by participating in the production of successful short films in Italy and abroad. In 2017 she enrolled in the degree course in Communication, Media and Advertising at the IULM University of Milan and began her career as a freelance filmmaker.

In 2020 she directed the independent feature film "Pioggia sul Viso", sponsored by the municipality of Casteldelfino with the collaboration of Parco del Monviso, C.A.I. Saluzzo and Soccorso Alpino Speleologico Piemontese.

In 2022 she participated in the US production "The Art of Fast" for Maserati and Wall Street Journal, Gold Winner of the 2022 edition of the Tally Awards.

In 2022 began the production of her independent documentary "We are food, African revolution" co-produced together with the chef of Gambero Rosso Victoire Gouloubi, with the aim of showing the African culture of food between the different countries and culinary cultures of sub-Saharan Africa. The documentary premiered in May '24 at the Uma Ulafi 2.1 African Taste Salon in Milan.​

As a documentary director, she prefer anthropological and social themes. Some of the themes covered in her latest works are the human-nature relationship, climate change, trafficking and the exploitation of prostitution, economic, social and cultural inclusion through food and the world of gastronomy.

​

Egle Pappalardo collaborates with television and film production companies, online newspapers and other companies.

She deals with writing, directing, filming and editing for corporate and commercial videos, brand films, TV formats, documentaries, music videos, events and multi-camera live streaming.

​

Among the vast clients, there are also giants of the audiovisual sector such as Sky Italia, Rai, Mediaset.

​

She is the founder of Parapazum, a collective of audiovisual professionals, which develops independent and commissioned creative projects, such as short films, feature films, television formats, video art, brand films.

She is member of Filmico, a collective of audiovisual professionals that develops creative projects on commission, specializing in commercial and brand films.

​
